How can tradition be integrated into the modern urban landscape? In post-apartheid South Africa, street artist Ofentse Letebele endeavours to reconnect with his Tswana tribal heritage by painting traditional Setswana proverbs. By transcribing oral traditions in his invented calligraphy, Letebele revives and re-imagines his cultural heritage overlaid onto the evolving urban landscape of Cape Town.
