Project Description

35 minute real-time live performance using the volumetric capture of a dancer merging with the point clouds of photo-scanned landscapes. The topography of bodies morph with topography of the natural world. Geometric metadata gathered from real environments are processed and reconstructed into virtual environments. Playing with scale and perspective CLOUD BODIES is an immersive experience that explores the body as landscape and questions are embodied relationship with virtual spaces.

The Cloud Bodies project benefited from the artwork creation program at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) www.sat.qc.ca

About the Director

Allison Moore is a Montreal-based new media artist and filmmaker, known for her groundbreaking work in expanded cinema. With a strong background in narrative storytelling and digital arts, Moore's projects have been showcased at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including the Venice Biennale of Architecture, MOCA Toronto, and the FullDome Festival UK. Her innovative use of technology and her ability to blend dance and digital art have redefined the boundaries of performance art.


Moore's latest project, "Cloud Bodies", is a mesmerizing real-time live performance that explores the relationship between the human body and virtual spaces.
