Project Description

"Space and Time" is a psychedelic-synth-soul album and fully-immersive dome visual experience by Kael Alden.

Inspired by the classic laser shows from his childhood, Kael Alden set out to create an experience that is as powerful musically as it is visually. Drawing on his background as a musician who also dabbles in 3D art, photography, and animation, Kael's unique soulful melodies and rich analog synths pair perfectly with his cosmic, kaleidoscopic visuals.

More than just an album, "Space and Time" is an exploration of inner and outer universes: a chance to lose oneself in soundscapes that stretch infinitely outward while resonating deeply inward. The result is a rare kind of experience—entrancing, transformative, and unforgettable.

About the Director

Life is short, so do what you want! And I just wanna make music! Since 2007 I've played with indie-electro-pop band Faded Paper Figures, and worked full-time composing for TV and film with LA-based Robot Repair Music and Sound. In 2017 everything changed when I moved with my family to Salt Lake City and began writing music as a solo artist. But thinking life would be slower-paced in Utah was a fantasy. One can drive themself mad pushing harder, striving to be more creative, and burning through the night to pickup new skills like coding, design, 3D modeling, and animation along the way. I'll sleep when I'm dead, right? Fortunately Utah does offer abundant space to get outside (both out of the house, and out of my head).
